Eastern Counties Dachshund Association Open Show 31st May 2015

Many thanks to the Eastern Counties Dachshund Association Comittee for this appointment and for their hospitality on the day. Many thanks also to the exhibitors for entering and the sporting way they accepted my decisions.

Smooth Haired Dachshund

Puppy Dog or Bitch –(7,2)
1. Seago & Gibbards Amilda Spirit, 8 month old chocolate dog of correct proportions, Well constructed front with good lay of shoulders, good rear angulations, good length of ribbing, moved well holding his topline at all times. BP & BOB 2. Alton’s Kiersha That’s Show Bizness , 8 month old chocolate bitch, another very promising puppy of correct size, went close but just prefred the movement of 1. 3. Valentines Morailsa Secret Script.
Junior Dog or Bitch- (3.1)
1. Starkey’s Carpaccio Topic of the Day is Hamoura, 13months old chocolate Dog, Good head, good rear angulation, level topline moved well. 2. Graham’s Morailisa Return to Sender to Gameron, 8 months old B&T dog , Well up on size, good rear angles at odds with his handler on the day.
Yearling Dog or Bitch – (1.1)
Post Graduate Dog or Bitch – (3.1)
1. Watson’s Roleta to the Letter, 2 year old Red dog of correct proportions, good ground clearance, well constructed front with good lay of shoulders, good rear angulation, moved well. 2. Valentines Amilda Elise, 3 year old Chocolate bitch, good length of rib, good topline, I would have like a little more ground clearance.
Limit Dog or Bitch – (1.1)
1.Graham’s Gameron Simply Red, Good length of rib, good rear angulation, kept topline well on the move.
Open Dog or Bitch – (3.1)
1. Starkey’s Carpaccio Jasper from Hamoura ShCM, 3 year old B&T dog of correct proportions, well constructed front with good lay of shoulders, good rear angulations, strode out well holding his topline at all times. RBOB. 2. Lovick – Gibbs’s Gameron in Kahoots with Roleta, red bitch with good front construction and good rear angulation, moved well, just preferred movement of 1.

Miniature Wirehaired Dachshund

Puppy Dog or Bitch. (7.2)
1. Morris’s Pennywave Top Totti. 10 month old brindle bitch, nice size with lovely harsh coat, well constructed front, good rear angulations, moved well holding her topline on the move BP and very pleased to see her go RBPIS.
2. Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Darby, 7 months old dog of correct proportions with good ground clearance, good coat, just seem to lose his topline a bit on the move. 3. Price’s Samlane Cressida.

Junior Dog or Bitch. (3.1)
1. Flowers Bingbongo Fellicina, 14 month old brindle bitch, well constructed bitch with good topline, good coat, strode out well. 2. Kugow & Holts Waldmeister Darby.

Yearling Dog or Bitch. (3.0)
1. Price’s Samlane Belleza. 14 month old brindle bitch of correct proportions, good coat, well constructed front with good lay of shoulders, good rear angulations, moved well holding her topline at all times, should have a bright future.. RBOB. 2. Kugow & Holts Waldmeister Darby. 3. Smith’s Alpheratz Ulises.
Post Graduate Dog or Bitch. (4.1)
1. Selly’s Ubu Cracklin Rosie for Heleanne. Lovely pin wire bitch with excellent coat. Good shoulder placement, good rear angulation, moved well. 2. Flowers & Soderberg’s Baltiyskiy Talisman Indiana Jones. 16 month old brindle dog, good coat, good shoulders and rear angulation, just preferred the movement of 1. 3. Ward –Blower’s Willowmist Brown sugar.

1. Morris’s Banburg Black Opal at Stargang. 3 year old brindle bitch of correct proportions, good coat, good rear angulations, moved well. 2. Hopper’s Arbennik Atlantek Reach, Bridle bitch 23 months old, good coat, good rear angulation, just preferred movement of 1. 3. Grants Barrantini Ted Astaire at Granhoward.
Open Dog or Bitch. (4.0)
1. Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Annie JW, 2 year old brindle bitch, Lovely bitch of correct size and proportions, excellent coat, well constructed front, lovely shoulder placement, good rear angulation drove out well holding her topline at all times. BOB. 2. Morris’s Stargang Quintina at Pennywave, brindle bitch, another well constructed bitch with an excellent jacket, went very close on the day but just preferred the movement of 1. 3. Smith’s Bingobongo Gregory.

Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund

Puppy Dog or Bitch (6.3)
1. Muggleton’s Mosiarto Miss Calculate. Lovely 8 month old red bitch of correct proportions and size, excellent construction throughout, moved with such drive and confidence in one so young, loved her, BOB. BP, very pleased to see her go BPIS.
2. Burton’s Swingletrees Double o Severn, 8 month old dog, Another well constructed youngster with similar virtues as 1, not much between them but just preferred the movement of1.
3. Protheroe’s Royalmaple Anky Panky.
Junior Dog or Bitch (6.3)
1. Burton’s Swingletrees Double o Severn 2. Protheroe’s Am Ch Grandables Ms Ever so Yummy at Royalmaple. 17 months old bitch, Good rear angulation, level topline, moved well, just preferred the front construction of 1. 3. Rouse’s Radclyffe Yhirundo.
Yearling Dog or Bitch (3.1)
1. Burton’s Swingletrees Xtravaganza, 22 months old bitch, well constructed front with good rear angulation. Good topline , moved well. 2. Robertson’s Ravenswood Courtesan, 14 months old bitch, not much between these two but just preferred the front movement of 1.

1. Prices Brianolf Pink Saffire with Samlane, 20 months old red bitch, Good front construction with good lay of shoulders, good length of ribbing, good rear angulation,
Moved well holding her topline at all times. 2. Burton’s Swingletrees Xtravaganza 3. Dimon’s Indyvic Enchanted Onyx.

1. Burton’s Swingletrees Razzamatazz JW. 3 year old red dog of correct proportions. Very good front construction with good lay of shoulders, good rear angulation, moved well holding his topline at all times RBOB. 2. Protheroes GrandgablesLil Devil at Royalmaples, 2 year old dog , a well constructed dog with similar virtues as 1, just preferred the rear movement of 1 going away. 3.Watkinson’s Mankoora Arookanam.
Open Dog or Bitch ( 3.2)
1. Fosset & Kents Lokmadi A Boy Named Sue. 19 months old B&T dog. Good front construction, good rear movement , moved ok but losing topline slightly.

AV Standard Dachshund Open Stakes (9.3)
1. Paskins Bronia Mr Tod at Kindeace, Standard Long haired Dog 23 months old, Excellent coat not too profuse, well constructd front and rear, moved well with dive around the ring. 2. Fosset’s Brysdax Second to None, 3 year old red dog, another well constructed dog with similar virtues but just preferred the drive of 1. 3. Vallentines Morailsa Secret Script.
