Pin wire bitch with lovely outline. Super head and expression, moderate angles, pleasing front and good bone. Happy, outgoing temperament which showed in her confident, striding action, and gained her Best of Breed over some of the more mature exhibits. Topline just needs to settle. B.O.B. and B.P.

2^nd Punter’s Welcumen Imagination

Another with a very good coat and pretty head. Well rounded front, standing true and moving with enthusiasm. Preferred top and underline of 1^st.

Compact bitch with attractive head and expression. Good front and shoulders, well ribbed and moved soundly. Well presented and handled, would have just preferred a bit more confidence.

2^nd Warren’s Gackles Gossamer

Good coated brindle bitch of moderate proportions. She was carrying too much weight, which spoiled her outline on the move.

Litter sister to winner of 2 previous classes. Similar in type and very well presented. Lovely outline, looked a picture standing, moderate angles, moved soundly but lacked confidence, which meant that she did not “flow” on the move.

Sound bitch of pleasing proportions with good coat and very exuberant temperament, which resulted in her losing her topline on the move.

Upstanding male with a robust, workmanlike look. Nothing exaggerated, balanced throughout with a lovely head and expression. Free striding, confident mover with good width both ways. Changed handlers for the challenge and wasn’t co-operating.

2^nd Dunn’s Barratini Bumble at Ashridge

Dark brindle bitch who presented a beautiful outline standing. Pleasing to go over with good front and shoulders, strong topline, well ribbed and good rear angulation. Was a lot less positive on the move than the 1^st and did not look happy in the hall.

8 months red male, balanced throughout with good length of leg which he used well to stride out. Pleasing head, sufficient front and moderate angles, still very much a baby but everything in the right place for future development.

Red male of slightly bigger proportions, with a pleasing head. Well put together and kept a good outline on the move. Preferred leg length of 1^st.

15 months black and tan bitch of beautiful proportions. Lovely size, well put together without any exaggeration. Super to handle, everything flows into graceful curves, in lovely condition and drove from strong hocks, keeping her super outline. B.O.B. Pleased to see her go Best in Show.

2^nd Burke and Manston’s Bonavoir Time Lord

Another quality youngster, brother to first. Presented a lovely outline standing and moving, with good angles, true movement and good topline. R.B.O.B

Liked both the first two, first was more confident so presented a better outline on the move. Pretty, red bitch with pleasing oval front and good ribbing. Kept a good topline moving and was sound both ways.

2^nd Buckingham’s Dablea Black Magic

Black and tan, very promising youngster with lovely angles, good front and balanced outline. Nothing overdone, just needs to develop confidence to complete the picture.

Bigger type and another with a very good temperament. Pleasing to go over, everything in the right place, moved happily with a good stride, just preferred the elegance of 1^st.

7 months puppy, still very raw but lots to like. Well bodied, good bone, well put together and lovely to handle on the table. When settled, moved soundly with good width fore and aft.

Black and tan male with a good coat and not overdone in any department. His exuberance on the move tended to spoil his outline at times.

Male in beautiful coat and condition, upstanding and presenting a good outline at all times. Super ribbing, well angulated and muscled rear resulting in strong, purposeful movement.

Super black and tan male with lovely head carriage and soft expression. Outgoing, happy temperament and super to handle – my notes say “all of a piece”. Moved like a train, keeping his outline and showing his pads. B.O.B and R.B.I.S.

2^nd Chapmans Darsoms Ziana at Melminds

Red bitch, neatly put together with a pretty head and clean outline. Moved like she could go all day, with well muscled rear being put to good use to propel her round the ring with style.

Red MS dog puppy, with lots to like. Clean head and neck flowing well into good shoulder placement and oval front. Moderate proportions, keeping a good outline and super head carriage on the move. Sound and steady with good width out and back.

2^nd Kent’s Lokmadi Steffi Byng

Black and tan MS bitch with a lovely front, in gleaming condition with a well muscled rear. Moved with drive and verve, just preferred extra ground clearance of the 1^st.

Still developing her confidence, this young handler listened carefully to instructions and encouraged her dog well. She moved at the right pace for the dog and just needs to keep practising to improve her placement of the dog on the floor and table.

1^st Bryony Fossett

This handler was at one with her charge, listening to instructions, ensuring she kept the dog in the judge’s view at all times and sympathetically encouraging the dog to get the best out of him. She stood and moved him to advantage, keeping the lead out of the way and ensuring he was paying attention. Best Junior Handler.

We are saddened to announce the death of our Patron Joan Littmoden today.  Joan was 94 this year and was also Patron of the Miniature Dachshund Club and the Great Joint Dachshund Association.

Joan’s famous Wendlitt affix is behind many of today’s Miniature Smooth-haired Dachshunds.

Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

From his super head & expression, good angulation, level top-line and excellent hindquarters, he moves with drive, all this with a gently wagging tail. BOB & BIS.

2 MacDonald’s AM. CH. Hampdach Classic Gold At Bensarka, red bitch, not the length of 1 but another quality exhibit, correct head well carried on a long neck, sound in front. Well angulated, moved with purpose & drive.

1st Watkinson’s – MANAKOORA KOH O NOOR. (M/S/Dachs) Well made little bitch. At 11.1/2 years old went round the ring like the wind. Lovely head, good shoulder and length of neck. Level topline, looked good moving away and coming toward me. Certainly didn’t look her age.

2nd Brook’s – Ch. Lyndarlea Choc Ice. (M/L/Dachs) Nice little dog, but didn’t have the appeal of my winner, nice to watch on the move. Good outline, but didn’t have the drive for his age 7.1/2

Moved with verve in the challenge to take RBOB. 2. Mourton’s Dinkidudlor Isha Aurog At Eldmour. Shaded red not as scopy as 1. pretty head & expression, good prosternum,nice flat coat, good feet, moved well 3. McCarthy’s Nagshall Solidasarock. Y (4) 1.Brook’s Lyndarlea Raferty. Hansome sh. cr. male with a lot of ring presence. Good forehand and ribbing. He held his topline at all times and moved well from all angles. Well presented BOB 2. Cooper’s Jumanda’s Silver Moonlight.3. McCarthy’s Nagshall Oklahoma Sunrise. PG (6) 1.Brook’s Lyndarlea Bubbles. Another nice one from this kennel. Choc dapple male of lovely type. He had a correct head piece excellent dentition & sparkling teeth as did all exhibits from this kennel. Strong topline held on the move. Good underline ,feet & bone. Would have preferred a flatter coat. 2. McCarthy’s Nagshall Sweet Caroline.Shaded cr. Pretty b. with good forehand leading to strong ribcage. Moved freely but not as well as 1.3. Cooper’s Jealroie Sir Percivale At Jumanda. L (4) 1.McCarthy’s Nagshall Puppet On A String. Sh. Cr b. pretty head & expr. compact in type but with good proportions. Standing on good feet moved well.2. Brook’s Lyndarlea Muffin. Bl/t b. good head with typical expr. forehand correct and strong topline, did not move as well as 1 today.3. Green’s Eldmour Electra. O (3) 1.Cawley & King’s Creekpit Black Opal At Summerview. Mature well balanced bl/t d. correct head & eye , topline held on the move Well handled. In the challenge I preferred the length and coats of the younger dogs. 2. Brook’s Lyndarlea Dark Moment. Bl/t compact b.with a pretty head & eye. She had a correct topline which she held on the move, but I prefered the movement of 1.3. Mccarthy’s Nagshall All Guns Blazing.

LONGHAIRED. P (2,1) 1.Burke & Manston’s Bonavoir Independence, Red b that stood alone but had everything in the right place. She had a lovely head and expression, a good topline ,was in super coat and should do very well when she settles.BP. J (5.2) 1.Chapman’s Melminds El Matate bl/t b of lovely size, well balanced, she had a feminine head & elegant neck leading to strong topline ,would have preferred tighter feet, she still moved well and held profile on the move. 2.Fossett’s Brysdax First Of Many. Red d , heavier in type,well balanced ,masculine head would have preferred less stop, good forehand leading to correct topline , moved OK. 3. Smith’s Xanadu Out Of The Dark. Y (5.2) 1. Mark’s Labbadax Anastasia.Red b balanced & of lovely size, correct head & eye leading to well laid shoulders ,held topline on the move in good muscular condition, moved well. 2. Hagan & Borsuk’s What A Corker. bl/t d of larger type rather heavy in head. Good forehand & topline tended to fall away in the rear, moved OK.3. Smith’s Xanadu Out Of The Dark. PG (5.1) 1.Mark’s Bronia Lunette With Labbadax. Red b though not overly confident deserved this place . she was a lovely size ,had a correct front strong topline , was well muscled & moved out well. 2. Dimon’s Dimerlin Isolde. Bl/t b who presented a pleasing picture , lovely coat & condition, moved well preferred the head of 1.3. Fossett’s Owlery Carlos At Brysdax. L(6.2) 1.Chapman’s Darsom’s Ziana At Melminds. Well balanced red b showing a clean outline, she held herself well & has a good front , shoulder & topline moved freely RBOB.2. Dimon’s Laraine Truly Faye For Dimerlin. Bl/t b she has a lovely flat coat, good bone & feet, would have preferred her a little shorter in length, moved well.3.Fossett’s Melmind’s Method In Madness Via Brysdax O(3.2) 1.Burke & Manston’s Loggeta Duke Of Marmalade. red d rather bigger than I like but showing a lot of quality, in super condition, correct head without any coarseness, excellent forehand leading to strong topline, moved & shown very well to take BOB.

Br d who appealed in type, super head & eye long neck, good forehand & correct harsh coat, moved well at the front but tended to hop in the rear.J (2.1) 1.Gibson’s Rock Of Gibralter. Dark br d puppy of 7 mths ,super quality & type , typical head & eye well placed ears , correct forehand , & topline , strong quarters, standing on correct feet, in good jacket, moved very well for age BP. Choc b lovely shape very feminine with long neck running into clean shoulders, a little unsure of herself, moved well.3.Green’s Eldmour Electra.

JUNIOR HANDLING 6-10yrs.(1)1.Junior Fossett. Met this young lady in the breed classes where she conducted herself very well, she handled her exhibit sensitively & listened to instructions. Best Junior Handler. 11-16yrs.(1).1.Junior Buckingham. Young handler who tried her best with her charge, a bl/t smooth who was very reluctant to play ball.
